About Lisa
Lisa has introduced thousands of young people to the joy of music. She possesses ten years of music instruction experience in many states. She is the previous owner of a music business in Northeast Ohio and taught over 500 children during her career there.
She has also worked as a children's and outreach librarian for nearly two decades with a strong emphasis on music and movement programming, baby and toddler lapsit promotion, and family literacy. She is an authority on programs for children under five and has conducted numerous adult seminars on this topic. She has worked as an advocate and educator of young people and their families her entire career. She is also the parent of two school aged children who enjoy music and performing very much.
She holds a masters degree as well as degrees in music, publishing and creative writing from the State University of New York and New York University. She is a woodwind performer who has played clarinet as well as alto, baritone and soprano saxophone in multiple groups. She was an All State finalist and award-winning jazz soloist for many years. Her musical stage experience includes work in Pippin, Cabaret and Chorus Line.
She also is an avid swing and contradancer who has happily participated in multi ple dance and music festivals around the country over the last two decades.
Lisa says: I look forward to singing, dancing and playing music with all of you. I want to work together with you as a partner to help your children feel nurtured, to help them creatively stretch and grow, to teach them skills through the enjoyment of music. My wish is that music becomes an enjoyable and important part of their lives, now and forever. To me, that is success.
